  1. To initiate an Incremental or Differential backup, select Backup Definitions Files.   


    In this instance, there is one saved XML definitions file MyBackup.xml which contains the configuration required to back up the C drive. 
     

  2. Right-click MyBackup.xml and select Run Now.   

    You are presented with a number of options. 

  3. Select Full, Incremental, or Differential to automatically execute that particular backup. If unsure which you want to run, click Prompt.



    1. Selecting 'Prompt' in the context menu will show an option dialog to select whether to run interactively or in background for once. Selecting, Set as the default execution mode will sets the selected option for all the tasks, and will have the same effect as settings in Other Tasks > Edit Defaults and Settings > Advanced Settings > Advanced Backup Settings.




    2. Selecting 'Full', 'Differential', or 'Incremental' in the context menu will run the backup, however, If not previously defaulted, you'll be prompted to choose the execution mode, interactive or background, for this backup:

  4. Click Finish.

    Note: To see currently running background tasks, and the background task queue, click the 'Tasks Status' tab:
