Open the MS Registry editor 'Regedit.exe'.
Press the Windows key and type 'regedit'
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList and delete any sub-keys that end in '.bak'
Restart your PC
