Macrium Central Management Console is used to define, apply and execute backup plans to managed computers.
A number of different components are used to create and manage computer backups. Below is an overview:
Backup Definitions define what computers, partitions and disk drives should be backed up and options for the generated backup files.
Once created, a Backup Definition can be run manually or scheduled to run automatically.
Schedules define when backups take place according a a set of triggers.
Repositories are the end point for backups.
A Repository may be created from a network share or from an Amazon AWS Storage Gateway. Access credentials and storage management settings may be configured in the Management Console and the Repository monitored through the Management Console.
Additionally computers may be scheduled to back up to a repository automatically. The repository will manage queuing multiple backups and missing backups automatically.
